This is my first posting to this list. I am connected through my dad, Robert Merle JOHNSON. He was born in the Mennonite Hospital, Beatrice, Gage Co., NE. His father was Rollin C. JOHNSON and his mother, Dora Elsie ZIMMERMAN. Dora is the granddaughter of Philip J. Zimmerman and Magdalena KLEINHANS. I have considerable information on the Zimmerman family and Kleinhans family. Dora's mother was Hattie Gertrude BRINK (daughter of Giles Brink and Elsie Dunham Brink). Rollin's father was Joseph Hooker Johnson (b. 1866 Fulton Co, IL, d. 11 Jan 1929, buried Odell Cem.) and Margaret BOLANDER Johnson (b. 8 Apr 1874 Fulton Co, IL, d. 7 Oct 1932). She is the daughter of Levi Bolander and Sarah Jane LIVINGSTON. Once again, I have a good bit of information on the Bolander's and Livingston's, but the Johnson's have proven to be a real problem for me. They lived in the Odell, Wymore, Blue Springs area. Apparently they came from Fulton Co, IL sometime between in the early 1900's. One son was born in IL in 1904 and the next in 1909 or 1910 in Blue Springs, NE. Census records has them in IL in 1900 and NE in 1910. Children other than Rollin were Eva, Veda, Earl, Georgia, Levi, and Theodore. Any information any of you could give me about availability of church records, funeral home records, cemetery records, newspaper obituaries, land records, etc., would be greatly appreciated.
