    1. Re: [NEDOUGLA] Winter Quarters - Mormon Pioneer Cemtery - 1840s LDS records?
    2. They are building an extensive record collection at the Trail Center. They have a list of those buried at Winter Quarters, and are developing lists of those buried at other cemeteries in the area. There were some ninety communities established up and down both sides of the Missouri River in this area that was used as a staging ground for the westward journey. Not everyone who died was buried in the Winter Quarters cemetery. If you email me off-list, I can put you in touch with the lady who is working with the records at the Trail Center to develop the collection (I'm not sure she'd want her email out to absolutely everybody that gets this list without asking her.) They're also working to collect family information about those who came through the area on their way west, and moved on. Karen In a message dated 2/3/2009 10:01:01 P.M. In particular, specifically I'm hoping to find more information on the following events and people: James Graham married Sarah Thompson (Lindsay) in 1848 They had a daughter Augusta Alice Graham sometime around 1859/1850, before going west to Utah. Also, I'm interested if there happned to be a man named John Lindsay buried in the Mormon Pioneer Cemtery. Anyhthing would be an immense help, especially if I couls get in contact with anyone familiar with the Mormon church records from this time and place. I have a fairly good timeline of the lives of the individuals in question, and would be more than happy to give any further information I have that might help. Thanks in advance, I hope I might be able to find someone that can help as I am relatively unacquainted with LDS records and genealogical research (what's available, what's not, who to get in touch with, etc.) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
