McGavock does not appear in the Douglas County death records. The city directories from the early 1880s do show a Patrick McGavock, living at 4th & Pierce. His occupation is clerk at Felix Slaven's grocery store. The 1883 directory lists Mary McGavock at the Pierce street address. There was also an Alexander McGavock listed in the directories.
