Were these Elsassers and Shoemakers from Omaha? If so I used to work with a Dorothy Elsasser, that was her married name, I don't remember her husbands name but he worked at Mutual Of Omaha (I THINK) his name might have been Don, and they had at least 2 sons and they lived around 26th to 30th and Martha area, south, just up from the Interstate in the early 70's. There is also an younger Elsasser that is a Chiropractor here in Omaha. As for Shoemaker, my aunt's first cousin is a David Shoemaker and his wife's name is Theresa and they live around 132nd and Dodge area. They live here in Omaha and are in their early 70's. That's about all I know about them. There could be a possibility they could be related.
