Looking for any information on John Foster (b. Abt. 1818 New York - d. Bet. 1881-1884 Douglas County, Nebraska) He settled in the Omaha area no later than 1866 and married an English immigrant by the name of Sarah Guy. They had the following children John, Franklin, George, Elizabeth, and Charles. I would love to know John's parentage but unfortunately his death year was beyond the scope of any record that I can get a hold of. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would love to know. Thank you for your time, Deane Deus pascit corvos
In 1880, the family lived in Florence; it's now part of Omaha, but was a separate town at that time. It's on the northern end of the city, on the Missouri River. There are possible matches for Sarah, George, Charles and Frank at Forest Lawn Cemetery--very near Florence. Nothing for John. Without further detail, it's not possible to know if these are the family you seek. Increasing the likelihood that these Fosters are part of the family you seek, Elmer Guy, Sarah's brother, is buried at Forest Lawn: Elmer Guy, buried 1/6/1923 Frankie Guy, his wife, buried 2/3/1901. Looks like one or more of their children are also buried with them. www.forestlawnomaha.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deane & Natasha" <ravencrest@sbcglobal.net> To: <NEDOUGLA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 5:02 PM Subject: [NEDOUGLA] John Foster > Looking for any information on John Foster (b.
