And since the country was still closed, we had to seek permission from the Czech government and then direct all correspondence and payment through the Embassy. But at least there was access. I still have other lines to research, but it will be more difficult now. Whatever films are available from LDS will help, but the language and handwriting make it virtually impossible for me. I thought the use of the house numbers attached to the surnames would simplify matters. We'll see. In the meantime, hopefully the internet will facilitate people getting in touch and helping each other.
