My mother and I don't recall any office in South Omaha; we remember their office at the Farm Credit building for many years, then they moved to mid-town Omaha near the old Lutheran Hospital. My mother said that they held a clinic in Springfield for many years, but she didn't remember that they lived there. Bernard Charles Burns; Gen Practice; Married Otilla; Bernard Charles Jr., MD; Int-St.Joseph Hosp,Kansas City, KS, 1924-1925; Practice-Omaha,NE, 1925-1979; Died 2/11/86 at age 87 in Omaha, NE. Also info that Bernard Charles Burns graduated from the Univeristy of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1958. Does this match your info about B.C.Burns? I thought his office was on South 24th St. I may be very mistaken. I have no idea about Springfield. Thanks.

My South Omaha family members went to first the older then the younger Dr. Burns, as did some of my own generation. I remember their office was in downtown Omaha at the Farm Credit Building, not in South Omaha. I think one or both of the Dr. Burnses lived in Springfield, not Omaha, so if you are looking for census records, you might try there. Nancy
