I know that he was born on Dec. 3, 1837 in Laaber, Bavaria and emigrated in Fall 1865, which is interesting because he got married to Elizabeth Kellemeyer or Koehlmeyer in Waterloo, IL on Oct. 26 of that year (http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilmonroe/newsarticles/nparticles_index_2.html). She died but I don't know where she's buried. Francis married Karaline "Lena" Bode in 1899. Francis died on June 26, 1917 in St. Joseph, MO. He's buried in Mt. Mora Cemetery (E-1/2 of N-1/2, Section F, Block 13, Lot 2) and Lena is buried by his side (http://www.rootsweb.com/~mommcpa/mountmora3.htm) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. We only have 3 pages of obit names extracted from 1906 newspapers at the present time, and he isn't there. That's before Hillcrest/Westlawn or Graceland Park started, and he's not in Prospect Hill (one of Omaha's early cemeteries...I have the data base for that one on my computer.) http://iowagravestones.org/gs_view.php?id=31038 There is a Hiram W. Johnson buried in Iowa, with wife Clara. Maybe Mathilda died in 1906? No Hiram Johnson in the online Forest Lawn cemetery database. Nothing in what I have so far for St. Mary Magdalene's cemetery... I'm for taking them out of the library until they can be protected, and if somebody wants something, charge a fee. I can't believe somebody can be so selfish to steel them like that. ----- Original Message ----- From: <OmahaMom@aol.com> To: <nedodge@rootsweb.com>; <NEDOUGLA@rootsweb.com>; <nesarpy@rootsweb.com>; <NESAUNDE@rootsweb.com>; <iapottaw@rootsweb.com>; <NEBRHeritage@rootsweb.com>; <nebrroots@rootsweb.com>; <necass@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2007 9:17 PM Subject: [NEDOUGLA] The obit thieves struck again > This time they stole the data base for 1914 obits. This class will use PAF (because the library can down load it for free) and will have people putting in their own family members, working on inputting documentation, and we will also do a practice merge of two individuals. This is going to be very basic. Class size is limited and you will need to have a 3 inch disc OR a thumb drive (depending on what you can transfer to your computer), as your data can not be permanently stored on the library computers. Email me if you are interested. It is this Saturday at the W. Dale Clark Library in Omaha, 10:00 AM for about 2 hours. I have a few seats left, as a lot of people who want the class are out of town with vacations right now. Karen ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
This time they stole the data base for 1914 obits. I don't know what they think they're doing, but if it shows up on the internet--it isn't THEIR work, and it was taken without permission. They not only take the materials, they make it so that nobody else can use it either, until their theft is discovered and the information can be replaced. Thing is, most of the cost of paper and printers ink to print these out comes out of my pocket, and a lot of my time, and the time of some very dedicated people goes into collection of this data so that everyone can find more ancestors. It's one thing to reprint because we've added a big bunch of names, but we shouldn't have to reprint because somebody can't keep their hands off of somebody else's work. If the theft goes on, we may have to put the notebooks behind the reference desk, and only those who ask will have access to them--to use at the desk. And those who don't know about the books at the reference desk will be out of luck for locating references to the unclipped obits (which are mostly from 1977 to the present--except for those that have been stolen.) I'd hate to have that happen for everybody's sake. Another option would be not to take the obits we've indexed to the library until they're ready to put them on line. Please watch web sites for large numbers of obit references. They don't belong to the people who are posting. Karen ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Not in Graceland Park or in Prospect Hill Omaha. Karen ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
I checked the online Forest Lawn database, since Saratoga would have been in that area, kind of, but no luck. Maybe Prospect Hill? I assume they were Catholic? I didn't see them listed in what I have so far for St. Mary Magdalene... Also, you probably know this, but many of the McKrays are buried in Iowa. Hi Karen, Well, I'm very sad that my missing James can't be found ... but at the same time very much appreciate your time and effort in looking for him in those five cemeteries. Many thanks! :-)) Regards, Lesley (In chilly Melbourne, Australia) > All I can report is negative information.
