Nunziata Salerno married Andrew Incontro on Oct 31 1920. Andrew's parents were Giuseppe Incontro and Carmella Bosco. Nunziata's (also known as Nancy) parents were Salvatore Salerno and Lucia Gagliola. I have the marriage record scanned to my computer if interested. I have 4 children listed for them. One died young, Salvatore Incontro 1926-1928. My grandmother says he died falling off a kitchen chair. I have a photo of his headstone, which has his portrait on it. Please let me know if you are interested in any of this, I can send images. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. No, I have typed the data base into my computer from the materials I got at the library, because we are in the process of reading Prospect Hill Cemetery as well as several other Omaha cemeteries. So far, the only one we haven't gotten to cooperate with us is Evergreen. We have interment data bases for many of the others. Since you think that this is the right John Foster, let me give you the interment information on the rest of them that are up there. You can try to decide who, if any, of these others are related to you. As you can see, there are quite a few other folks there. 2945 May 20, 1880 Foster, Arthur M. 7m Mathew Foster 484 5 e 1st 6316 Jan 6, 1892 Foster, Earle 5y Mathew Foster 437 e½3 n end 8973 Oct 11, 1921 Foster, Elizabeth 62y Mathew Foster 437 N&R 4064 Nov 11, 1883 Foster, Ethel 3y 1m 6d Charles H. Is this your John Foster? Sarah isn't buried there in Prospect Hill, but there are several other Fosters there. There were no death certificates that early. 4159 Feb 2, 1884 Foster, John 57y 544 1 e 1st Karen ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
Thank you for the information. Sarah, his wife is buried at Forest Lawn. The information you found states that he is 57 years at death but he should be 66/67. The death date works due to the fact that he was alive for the 1880 U.S. Census but dead for the 1885 Nebraska State Census. Did you discover this information from a internet database? Have a feeling he is the one. Thank you again, Deane Deus pascit corvos
Increasing the likelihood that these Fosters are part of the family you seek, Elmer Guy, Sarah's brother, is buried at Forest Lawn: Elmer Guy, buried 1/6/1923 Frankie Guy, his wife, buried 2/3/1901. Looks like one or more of their children are also buried with them. www.forestlawnomaha.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deane & Natasha" <ravencrest@sbcglobal.net> To: <NEDOUGLA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 5:02 PM Subject: [NEDOUGLA] John Foster > Looking for any information on John Foster (b. In 1880, the family lived in Florence; it's now part of Omaha, but was a separate town at that time. It's on the northern end of the city, on the Missouri River. There are possible matches for Sarah, George, Charles and Frank at Forest Lawn Cemetery--very near Florence. Nothing for John. Without further detail, it's not possible to know if these are the family you seek. Thanks. I dug that information up, too. I was hoping I could find someone who might be a descendant in Nebraska. I may one of these days, try to find an obit for Horace. I suspect that their sister Mary married - I am sure it was probably in Massachusetts. So next time I get back, I'll check the Newton/Cambridge registry. There is a chance that she didn't, though. I did manage to find Sam's daughter, Mary Caroline. She died in 1982 in New Hampshire. She didn't marry and her obit claimed she had no living relatives. (There were, in fact, quite a few cousins that she may not have known about - Mom was pretty secretive!) Many thanks for following up. Frank and Mary were born Boh. Frank was a miner in Braidwood, Will, IL. They moved to NE in 1871; however, I read that many miners traveled back and forth to work the IL mines to support families back home (NE). I last find them together on the 1885 NE state census. I would love to connect with anyone who might be related to or have information about this Levy line. I cannot find Frank Levy on the 1900 federal census, but do find his wife and she is listed on as a widow so I'm assuming Frank died between 1885 and 1900. They had 9 children, listed below: Frank Levi. age 38, Boh. Mary Levi, age 38, Boh.
