Given these addresses, and the probability that they were not Catholic, I would suggest Westlawn-Hilcrest Cemetery or secondly, Graceland Park. (They are not at Forest Lawn). You can get cemetery info (phone/address) at switchboard.com--or post a new query here asking for a check of the Westlawn records. The stones have been read by the local genealogical society; not sure if they are published yet. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. They aren't at Graceland Park. I have the interment data base on my computer, as we are in the process (when weather permits) of getting that cemetery read. It's about 1/2 to 3/4 done. I can check Hillcrest-Westlawn this weekend, but the gal who has their interments is out of town until later tomorrow because of the holiday. Hans by collecting newspaper articles, Dan Brown found the Duquette name mentioned in two articles in "The Lincoln Evening News" dated 23 May 1903 and 23 June 1903. Duquette's name was mentioned in reference to his involvement in a murder case with his brother-in-law, Fred M. "Lone Star" Hans. Dan was very curious about how this unknown person was related to Fred Hans and began collecting other newspaper articles and other data on the name of Duquette. Approximately 20 articles from the "Omaha World Herald" have since been found. Those Omaha paper articles mention only the name of a W. H. or William H. Duquette and make no other reference to Fred Hans. It was because of this feeling of distrust that the indictment for murder was found against Hans.- "He (Fred) is supposed to have an accomplice in the killing in the person of W. H. Duquette, for whom the Nebraska authorities have for some time been making an unsuccessful inquiry. Duquette is a brother of Hans' second or third wife. He is the man who was brought back from Montana once to answer a charge of perjury growing out of his testimony in a case wherein he had sued Hammond Bros. of Fremont, publishers of the Tribune, for libel. He escaped that charge on a technicality. A few weeks ago inquiry was being made for him on the strength of an understanding that he had bigamously esposed a farmer's daughter living near Holdrege while he had a wife living in Omaha.--" "Lincoln Evening News Oct 24, 1903 "LIFE SENTENCE FOR MAN WHO MURDERED Detective Hans, found guilty of killing stockman, presumably for pay from enemies, get stiff dose" Ainsworth- __the evidence was that a man by the name of W. For those who might be interested, G.O.G.S. still has some of their original cemetery publications available. You can find out more by going to their website at _www.gogsmembers.wordpress.com_ (http://www.gogsmembers.wordpress.com) . There's a list of their publications there. (Ask Santa to get you one for Christmas?) There's also a link to the obit index, which should have over 101,000 names in the next day or two. Sorry, it's slow going to collect names, and there are more papers that we haven't gotten done than we have, but it keeps growing, so check back. Of note: if people were living within an hour and a half or so of Omaha and appeared in the Omaha papers, they're included, even if they don't have an obvious Omaha connection...so people from several other counties are included.
