    2. According to Sarpy co Hx Society, it's in Douglas County (on the way to Bellevue). Karen In a message dated 6/13/2008 8:29:29 A.M. My mother always called it "Albright" Cemetery but I could never find it like that. Evidently long ago there was a town named "Albright" which is no longer. That area is now part of Bellevue. 3. My GrGrandparents are buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Following is the name of the lady who was in charge of the cemetery in Oct. of 1998 and also the directions to the cemetery (you can actually see it from the highway). I hope this helps! Laura ~~~~ The lady in charge of Laurel Hill Cemetery is: Helen Zentz at 5319 Valley Circle, Omaha, NE 68106. Helen's telephone # is (402) 558-2386. Directions to Laurel Hill Cemetery: Take Hwy. 75 south to the Chandler St. exit. Go west on Chandler to 25th St. & turn north (right) on 25th. Go to Polk St. & turn right. Go to the end of the street; it will dead end at the cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Sun, Jun 8, 2008 at 2:00 AM, <nedougla-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. 1. [NEDOUGLA] Marriag site
    2. www.omahamarriages.wordpress.com?? taken from the marriage licenses. We now have 16,830 entries on the site.? (It's not that many marriages, but about that many people since it's in by bride's name and groom's name...and sometimes more than once, if the record has alternate spellings for the surnames.)? Over 3,000 names have been added in the last week.? We'll keep working. Anybody want to do some volunteer work?? Email: sahara346@aol.com.? About one or two days a week we extract marriages (the rest of the time we extract obits--and we have over 120,000 names?on the obit site?now). But we could use help reversing the name order.? We put the bride's name first instead of the grooms & put him after "md."? If you wouldn't mind retyping about a page of names at a time (equals two pages when it is completed, and you'll type your entry right under the first entry.? Depending on how many volunteers we have, we might be sending a page every week, or every couple of weeks--if you're willing.? We would like the page back?in a week though from the time we send it out so we can keep track of everything and get it posted in a timely manner after it is extracted--if that seems fair.? Otherwise it is really easy to lose track of who has what. Karen PS:? the extra question marks are AOL's quirky addition, not mine.?

Marie was a homemaker for the most part who also worked outside the home as a bedside nurse and care giver. She loved to write poetry and songs, mostly about her grandchildren. She also enjoyed time spent with her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Marie's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Cascade Care Center for the tender and loving care they provided through this difficult time. Marie is survived by her husband, Jack Harmon, of Middleton; 2 children, Jody Heiss of Nampa, and Gerald Harmon of Missouri; numerous grand and great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; 3 brothers, George, Freddy and Richard Kohler. Friends may call at the Dakan Chapel on Thursday. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I don't even know yet if the obit or dates are correct for the person (HALL) i'm looking for. I do know that my HANS relatives lived in Washington Co (north of Omaha) near Fontanelle and Blair, then homesteaded in Dawes/Sioux Co near Crawford and Ft Robinson, and then also lived in Omaha for many years. I don't have a obit for Alvin and I don't know for sure his wife or children's names, if any. Just because he died in Florida, he may still have a obit in Omaha area where most of his relatives lived. I have seen unverified info that Alvin may have had a wife named Dorothy and that they may have had a daughter named Shirley who may have married a Kenneth Hall. If you know someone in Omaha who has access to obituaries or other info, I would certainly appreciate the assistance. I am hoping someone may be able to help me verify or find a connection to any of the children of Fred Hans as shown in the 1910 census above.
