    1. [NEDODGE] genealogy class on Saturday
    2. This month's class is on Vital Records and Substitutes for Vital Records. Sign in is from 9 to 9:15, and we'll be done by noon (usually before.) It is sponsored by the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society & Omaha Public Library (W. Dale Clark branch where the genealogy collection is.) The classes are free, but we do ask that people pre-register so that we know how many handouts to make without having dozens left over, or worse yet, running out. We hold the classes at the Mormon Trail Center in Omaha (Up the hill on State Street from 30th, or East from just north of the Forest Lawn Cemetery--I think that's still State St, but it winds around a bit so maybe it's not.) It's open to anyone interested in starting or reviewing genealogy research techniques, and we have lots of folks that come. We've even had people meet cousins there. There's also a special offer for attendees who might be interested in a trial membership of the Genealogy Society (1/2 price for a half year, with newsletter, Ezine, $10 off the spring conference for your membership.) You do have to attend to get the special price. To register, 706-1453 or email _Genehelper@aol.com_ (mailto:Genehelper@aol.com) . We have fun, and hope you'll join us and have fun too. Karen
