Plattsmouth Journal, Thursday, December 7, 1916 Henry ROELFSZ came down from Lincoln Wednesday on business. Mr. Roelfsz is now in the grocery business in east Lincoln. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
Henry ROELOFSZ, my g-grandfather, built a town 3 miles south of Alvo and named it Sunlight. It had a postoffice, grocery store and blacksmith. Sunlight burned to the ground just before the railroad came through. It missed the old site by 3 miles. Hence someone built Alvo. Probably more than anyone cared to know. Thank's Becky, this is great stuff to add to my family history.
