This company have [sic] always given the best of satisfaction with their Murray engagements. They will return to their usual home headquarters in Union, and will soon start out for the summer season under a canvas. Mr. Applegate is an old Cass county boy, and is sure a great favorite in the home towns where he has visited. Plattsmouth Journal, Monday, May 28, 1917 Joy Applegate came in from Columbus, Saturday, and reports the show making good money and getting along nicely. Plattsmouth Journal, Monday, February 19, 1917 J.R. Applegate, “the old reliable,” is commencing to organize his show troupe for the coming season. He expects them to begin assembling the last of the week. He will open up for the season in a short time and play most of the surrounding towns. Watch this paper for further announcements.
