Sam SMITH has just received a card from Henry SOENNICHSEN, who is at the cantonment at Deming, New Mexico, saying that he liked the place and that all the boys were getting along fine. Recent letters from Henry G. SOENNICHSEN tells of his return to the United States, where he is situated at Presidio, California, which is just in the edge of San Francisco, where he is serving you ‘Uncle Sam’ as a member of the Coast Artillery. He like his position on the coast fine, and is well pleased with the service. He was for some time at Honolulu, where he liked the country and the service fine, and was brought back to the states about three weeks since or about the middle of July. His many friends will be pleased to learn of him, and desirable location.
