Walter T. SPECK, who went to Camp Dodge some time since, as one of the quota from Platte county, was in the city last evening, having been discharged from the service on account of one of his hands not being in condition for military service. The injury required that he be given an honorable discharge. He will return to the work on the Union Pacific, where he has recently been promoted to conductor for that company. He was in the city last evening visiting with his mother and other relatives and friends.
