Bob >Subject: ***VIRUS WARNING*** PLEASE READ > >Good afternoon, > >Actually, it's not that good....There is another virus out there that is >causing all sorts of problems and so far I know one of our remote >employees has been infected by it. It is called the W32/ExploreZip.worm >virus and it is passed through an email attachment. Once a system is >infected, this virus will send itself to all the individuals listed on >the infected PC's email address book. > >This virus will delete all files with the following extensions: >.c >.cpp >.h >.asm >.doc >.xls >.ppt > >XLS, DOC and PPT are all Microsoft Office extensions which means all of >your documents can be destroyed! > >If you receive an email with the following text, then you have received >the virus: > >I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP. Till then, >take a look at the attached zipped docs. >The attachment will be called : "zipped_files.exe" > >Even if the email does not have the exact above verbiage, you can still >have received the virus. > >THE BOTTOM LINE: >IF YOU ARE NOT EXPECTING AN ATTACHMENT FROM SOMEONE AND YOU RECEIVE ONE, >DO NOT OPEN IT!!! Call the individual and confirm the email and it's >attachment. If you do not execute the attachment, you will not be >infected. >
