The Hoisington mail list that I'm on has just been notified of this problem, and is looking for someplace else to move the list to. And I am in agreement. Perhaps that might be the answer for the Butler Co. site. The list administrator is just beginning to look into other options, but if you'd be interested in finding out what she comes up with, you can email her at hariji@sirius.com. Thanks for the notification.
