Hi, The surname that I am searching is KILGORE and my husband's Kilgore's lived in Ware, were the charter members of the Methodist Church in Ware and WM KILGORE retired in David City, NE where he passed away and is buried in the David City Cemetery. Wm and his wife Annaline Garrett Anderson Thomas Kilgore and their children came to Butler Co. in the early 1880's and settled on a farm near Ware. Wm was born in York Co., PA and left with his parents and moved to Henderson Co., IL and was there for 8-9 yrs and then moved on to Butler Co. He died in David City on 14 May 1914. He had a brother Amos who lived in Ulysses and ran a grain elevator with the help of another brother Andrew and their half brother Evan Thomas. Amos' son Ray was in the restaurant and bakery business in Ulysses. Wm's son's Martin and Harry stayed in Butler Co. and raised their families and some of that family is still there today. Simon moved on to the Lincoln area and John lived in Council Bluffs, IA. Wm's daughter Sarah married Wm Boyer and they raised their family in Butler Co. Looking for any information on the above Kilgore lines or any connections.. Don Kilgore of North Platte, NE is of the Martin line and he is on the mail list.
