Based on Dawn Amos' mention of District 82 school and a photo of what purports to be the first school building (log) photo, I have started a web page for old schools on the Butler co. site. I will gradually move all "school" links and items to that page. So, If you, or your ancestors, walked or rode a horse, buggy, mule, cow or Model T to school, let us hear what you remember. The older the better, I don't know if driving a ''75 Ford or Chev counts, but teaching in a one room school does. (grin). Maybe you have an ancestor who taught school.
