A new link has been added to the Butler Co. NEGenWeb home page: New Feature This leads to a menu for (1) a site map showing all the files we have, (2) What is New?, and (3) yet another Search dialog box. These three items are free services provided by FreeFind. Their price for this "free service" is that some advertisements appear. Feel free to ignore them. The "Site Map" will let you see every file on the Butler Co. site and you can go directly to any page/file. The "What's New?" feature will probably disappoint you. You will want to know what "new names" have been added, but this feature is only concerned with new HTML files which have been added during the week. FreeFind sends its "spider" to visit Butler Co. each Friday and rebuilds the site map. I believe it then compares last week's site map with this week's site map and the difference is "What's New." The "Search" dialog box is similiar to the "Search this site" button on the home page and should give similiar results. If your surname has various spellings, use each one as these searches are for your "exact" spelling. I do not believe case matters. If, in using this FreeFind stuff, you get "lost" from Butler Co., click your browser's BACK arrow until you get back to where you want to be. Don't do it too fast. And lastly, if you have Bellwood Methodist roots, Dawn Carpenter has volunterred to do lookups in a Methodist Church Roll book which she has access to. You can find her under the Lookups link Emmett Mason
