I am looking for information on Jane or Elizabeth Jane Cairns who was married to a D.C. Crawford that possibly ran a Candy Store in Lincoln. Janes mother would be Elizabeth Cairns Knittle which is my Gr Gr Grandmother. Jane had a sister named Margaret (Maggie) Cairns Sallinger who married Frank Sallinger in McKeesport, Pa and moved to Grand Island, Ne in 1879. I am also researching the Cairns family but am having no progress at the moment past Elizabeth. The father of Jane and Margaret passed away during the voyage to the US in 1854.
