While airing my quilt collection, it dawned on me suddenly that the good folks on this list might be able to help me document one of my quilts bought about 13 years ago. I bought the quilt in Phoenix, AZ, from a woman named Nola Paap who said she had an antique store in Beatrice, NE, and who visited her daughter here in Phoenix (I think) about once a year. I bought a quilt from her signed by the maker "MRS. D.H. BLOOM - 1861" which was said to be from an estate auction held somewhere in Nebraska (perhaps around beatrice?). I'd love to document the quilt-maker's history, even a little bit. What was Mrs. Bloom's given name, her maiden name, where did she live in Nebraska. etc. If anyone can help me, I'd love to hear from you. Regards, Mona Sarratt Knight in Arizona
