A message was recently posted regarding the Sandhills by Barb and a book that had been written titled "A Hawk Flies Above." Ericson the town and Ericson Lake were mentioned in her message. I am searching the Erickson/Ericson families. Could anyone tell me where the town of Ericson and the Lake might be located? Also how the two locations might have gotten their names. Most of the information I have on the family tell me that they actually came from Iowa and South Dakota BUT I have not been able to trace them back very far.
