Hi Dale, Sorry, I can't help you because I was born in 1916 and in 1918 my dad died and my family returned to Blair, Nebraska where my grandparents lived. I know very little about the Valentine area except that to me when I returned it was very beautiful. Perhaps the Cherry County Historical Society in Valentine might help.
