Hi all, Linda here from a warmer Calif. I want to share this with all of you because if it had not been for Bill Attwood from Tucson AZ I may not have found my Addison Townsend that was the elusive one in the Townsend family. OK here goes, I had purchased the Social Security CD from Family Tree maker in the hopes that just maybe I would find him and to my disappointment he was not there. I had put out many queries all through U.S. Genweb and nothing, but Bill Atwood from the SCKY list looked at ancestry search and found him on their Social Security list. So I sent to the Social security administration and got a copy of his original application and it list his parents so I know that this indeed is my Addison. And can you believe he lived to be 95 yrs old. Oh and he applied for his SS# when he was 92 ys. So don't give up on one site because another may have the info you need. Here are the three that I know of and make sure you book mark them for future searching. And if any of you can figure why he wanted a SS# at 92 yrs, let me know. Bye for now, Linda Ancestry.
