I am looking for information on the origins of recently retired Senator J James Exon of Nebraska. I am particularly interested to discover if he has any connection with the following family. Henry and Sarah Exon, emigrated to Gage County Nebraska, ca 1882 with children Ernest and Arthur and two other children, names unknown. Their eldest? son James Henry b. 1858, emigrated to Charles Dix County, South Dakota, via Canada, 1881. James was later a lawyer, newspaper owner, banker and judge in Wheeler, the capital of Charles Dix County.. Exon is a very unusual name and a connection is likely.
