I have found a group of families, some intermarried, some not, who settled together in WI. Most of them moved to IL together, and later some of their descendants moved together to NE. Because I grew up with families of those names, I kept notes on all the records that I found on these other families as well. During the years, they have served as god-parents, witnesses at marriages, sponsors at naturalizations, etc. Eventually most of them intermarried at some point, even if not until 1960's, over 100 years after leaving Prussia. It has been fascinating.
