News item in Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent, 7 April 1884: C.D.M. WASHBURN has sold his farm in Merrick county, and will start next week for the Yellow Stone country. He was two terms mayor of our city, and has many friends here who will regret to have him leave. Charles D.M. WASHBURN is my great-grandfather. He was sixty-two years old in 1884. Anyone have an authoritative description of what Yellowstone country is? It seems likely that it would be more than just the Yellowstone Park.
