My Greatuncle named John F. Farritor b about 1847 in Towanda, Bradford Cty, PA married a Sarah and had George b 1877 and Nora b 1879. He had a wanderlust, too, and loved excitement so he was in Ogallala playing cards with the cowboys off the trails when he got involved in a gun fight (so goes the story). He was killed and supposedly buried in Boot Hill and never heard from again. Was there a paper in Ogallala at that time? It would have been after 1879 when Nora was born. I have no idea what happened to the widow and those small childen either. Audrey
