This is just to let genealogists in the Omaha area that we now have access to Ancestry.com in the genealogy book room on the genealogy computer. It cost the library $400. a year to put it on-line for us, but it is there. We've gotten another 80+ census films in since the latest census microfilm list was published, but progress has slowed since the price went up to $9.95 per reel. Reel by reel, we'll get there, it'll just take longer, since tax money is NOT paying for this--individual and foundation donations are. 18 states will have at least one or more counties complete through 1920 when the ordered films arrive. (Although Murphy's law of genealogy says that it probably won't be your county...) Karen
