My grandparents were born in Norka, Russia and when they came to America they settled in Lincoln, Nebreska. I would love to find their naturalization records. Does anyone know where I would look for these. I have been told that all had to wait until they had been here for 5 years before they could become naturalized, but they lived in Lincoln until after my grandfather passed away around 1942-1950. My grandmother then moved to CA and it was there that she applied for and received her SS#. I am looking for the records of: Jacob Reich & Anna Margarete Baker (Becker) Reich. They owned a little chain of small grocery stores that were located around the University in Lincoln. I never met my grandfather and did not know that we were of German from Russia heritage until last year. They never told any of us children, and since they spoke German with eachother and never taught it to us we never knew what they were talking about. Now I understand why, but would really love to find more information about my family.
