If the list invokes memories that we haven't written down to tell our families--and the generations yet to come, perhaps that's what we need to give our families for Christmas: a chapter or two of memories from our youth so that they can know some of the joys and sorrows of "the way it was." Then, another chapter or two could be added each Christmas thereafter. If we don't write these things down, they'll be lost forever. Karen
