Hello, I am searching for descendants and ancestors of Leander J. Carpenter, who married Permelia Howe in 1856 and then came to Gage County by wagon train in 1866. Two of his children died in that year. Other children were Lorinda Parthenia, b. 1857, who married Peter Bowhay; Lucian, b.1866, and Laura, b. (1880).
