    2. Connie and others on the Nebraska list who are sure to let me know that Funk, NE still exists -- Oops! So much for ancient atlases! I scoured the one I've had for years and which has produced literally every other municipality I've looked for without a hitch - and Funk, Nebraska wasn't even in the list of cities! I'm glad to know it's still there - I have two wedding invitations from 1898 and 1901 respectively for marriages between the LIND and GUSTAFSON families, as follows: 1898 - Mrs. & Mrs. OTTO GUSTAFSON request your presence at the marriage of their daughter, JENNIE, to EMIL LIND, Wednesday, March15 (date of 1898 written in by my grandmother) at 1 o'clock p.m. at the residence of the bride's parents Funk. Nebraska. 1901 - Mr. & Mrs. SWAN LIND request your presence at the marriage of their daughter, AUGUSTA AMALIA, to CARL WILLIAM GUSTAFSON, Thursday, September twelfth, Nineteen hundred one, at three p.m., Fridham Church, Funk, Nebraska. Reception at home. There is some evidence that my maternal great-great-grandmother's maiden name may have been KAROTINA GUSTAFSON which would explain why these two documents are still in the family photo album. She married (Unknown) RYDELL. They moved to St. Sigfrid (near Nybro) sometime after 1872 and had four children: JOSEF RYDELL m. Lisa ? - remained in Sweden. CARL RYDELL m.
