Hi, list, I am searching for information on the following families: COX, CLARK, BOWHAY, HOWE, CARPENTER. Oscar Cox was the father of Cora Amelia Cox, who married Walter H. Clark. I do not know what county the Coxes lived in; however, Walter's family came from DC to somewhere in northern NE to SE Nebraska. Walter himself was a Methodist minister, whose last place of resident was Fairbury. Walter's father, Thomas Christopher Clark, was a Civil War chaplain (Methodist) and is buried at Ashland. Peter Bowhay m. Lorinda Parthenia Carpenter and raised their five children in Liberty, NE. His father was John Bowhay; I don't know where the Bowhays originally came from or who Peter's siblings were. Lorinda was the daughter of Leander P. Carpenter and Permelia Howe, who married in 1856 and migrated to NE by wagon train in 1866, settling in Gage Co. I'd love to hear from anyone who might be able to help me trace these family lines in NE and beyond. Thanks, Barbara Archer
