Charlene Perkey's lists a Nims, in Richardson county. He says "former locality probably named for Mrs Betsy V. Nims or Reuel Nims, early settlers." I suspect however that it may well be elsewhere that is being referred to. In days past there were locations that were given grandiose names by the locals that caught on with the locals but not the officials. For instance, White City was a local place on the banks of Lake Quinnebaugh, Burt County. I defy anyone to find it on a map, in Perkey's or any place besides in the memories of the old timers. But everyone knew where it was. Many of the locals know where it was even today, but....
