Hi, I'm Cheryl L. Higgins from Connecticut. My grandfather, Carrell Henry Whitnah was born in Utica, Seward County May 25, 1892. I do not know his parent's names - I am looking for his family information - when they came to NE and from where, when they left, etc. In the 1890 "Gazeteer", in Utica is listed "Whitnah Bros. & Co. Gen. Merchandise" I wonder if you can help me find any information about this buisiness - who are the brothers, when was it opened, closed, etc.? In th 1890 "Gazeteer" Farmer’s Index, is listed "Whitnah, E. C., Utica - and this individual - can it be found out what his name was, his family, when he came to utica, what land he owned, etc?
