Charles S. BROWN and wife, Phebe J. CAREY homesteaded in Blue Hill, Webster Co. (Patent record, 1881) , coming from Kalamazoo Co. in Michigan where their 3 sons were born, Willard, Luther, and John C. Evidently Phebe died in Blue Hill, as Charles went back to Michigan and remarried in 1899. Son Luther was also back in Michigan by 1902. We believe Willard and John C. stayed, but have no track of them yet. Would like to find some record of when Phebe died, maybe find where and when she was born that way. Anyone have some idea?
