    3. Hi Bill and the List, I appreciate the information about Nebraska. I was born and raised in the two story farm home on the Burris ranch near Anselmo, Nebraska and attended the country school at New Helena until the seventh grade. My parents sold the Burris ranch as it wan in an estate belonging to all of the Burris brothers and sisters. We moved to Arizona. This was a move I never wanted to make. The fondest years of my life were spent in Nebraska and I dearly love to hear about Nebraska. I consider these my roots which are planted very deeply in my heart and constantly tear at my heart strings. The Burris Ranch was previously owned by Harve Andrews and he is the one from whom they purchased the ranch. My Mother was born in a sod house closer to Merna, Nebraska. The sod house no longer stands but the home place that replaced the sod house does and I visited and took pictures of this house in 1992 when I visited Nebraska. Many thanks for this list and I don't know why I didn't join this one sooner. I have a lot of clippings from the newspaper that my Mother saved about family and friends around Anselmo, Merna and some Broken Bow. My Great Uncle Fred Brechbuhl came to the USA from Switzerland.
