For instance, the Nemaha School District paid 66 cents for 2 doz. hathooks and 3 doz. screws on the 27th of Sept., 1889, and 15 cents for1/2 box bolts and 1/2 box screws and a lb. of nails of the 30th. Nemaha City bought 25 lbs. of spikes for $1.25. Some other names include: James Coons, Henry Williams, Jerry Ballard, John Shook, Adam Young, Gee Kittle, Minor Taylor, L.
