Services will be 11 a.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph. Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery. --- WAKEFIELD, Neb. -- Arland "Red" CARSON, 70, of Wakefield died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Neb. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Anton Bokemper Post 81 of Wakefield. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Bressler-Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. --- SHELDON, Iowa -- Austin H. ROETMAN, 90, of rural Sheldon passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Sioux Center Community Hospital Nursing Facility in Sioux Center, Iowa. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Newkirk Reformed Church in rural Hospers, Iowa, with the Rev. Dennis Hietbrink officiating. Burial will be in Newkirk Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 3 to 5 p.m., at Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City, Iowa. Austin Henry was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Holland, Neb., the son of the Rev. Zwier and Jeanette (Van Kley) Roetman. On March 24, 1937, he married Harriet Margaret Fikse in Newkirk. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Melvin Roetman; a half brother, Gerald Mokma; and two half sisters, Marguerite Rymes and Cornelia Mokma.
