This Saturday is the last of the 7th annual genealogy workshop series offered by Greater Omaha Genealogical Society and the W. Dale Clark Library History Social Science Department. We will be discussing naturalization records, what, where, why, etc. Second part is on other record sources that might have information on our families and how to access this information. Pre-registration requested so that we can have enough handouts for everybody. You can email your plan to attend: genclass@aol.com or by calling 706-1453, or 344-2887. These workshops are free to the public. 9:00 to approximately noon, held at the Mormon Trail Center, 3215 State Street in Omaha. (They offered to let us use their classroom because we outgrew the largest library classroom which only holds 50 people, and we've had over 100 at times.) COMING THIS FALL: Tentatively, we are planning to bring in John Phillip Colletta on October 30. This will be a pay-for workshop, but details are being worked out. If you are interested in attending or just want more information, you can also email Genclass@aol.com. There will be a discounted price for early registrations, and for members of the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society. We are making plans for a spring workshop as well similar to the October one. Members will be automatically updated in the Society newsletter. (The new fiscal year begins in July, so memberships are being accepted now. Price for membership has not gone up since the Society was started.)
