Hans J. Knudsen born Aug 23, 1853, died Sep 2, 1916 is buried in section 9 Hillcrest Westlawn. His stone is in the shape of an upright cross...and the name and dates are very legible even today. What isn't very legible is the words on the main part of the cross: Jesus eropstandelsenog livet This is the best we can figure out from braille reading, shining lights, putting shade at different angles and as a last resort a rubbing. Anybody understand what it is really saying? I can figure out some German, but suspect this may be Danish? Or Norwegian? What does it likely say, and what does it mean? Thanks. Karen
