Dear Nebraska Roots Folks: Calling all Cornish, those who have links to Cornwall in England! Many Cornish settlers and their descendents came to Nebraska to try their fortune, to make a life and have families and experience the American dream. Currently being formed is Nebraskernewek, a Society for the Celebration of Cornishness in Nebraska. Do you have Cornish kin who lived in Nebraska, or other Cornish links to Nebraska or its surrounds? This Society is for you! Inaugural meeting will be held Sat, Nov 24, at Noon, at The Knolls Restaurant, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Howard Curnow, that inimitable Cornish Bard, will be here to launch our Society.
