    1. [NEBRRoots] Genealogy Tip for Feb 19
    2. "Keep all notes from the same geoagraphic location together, even if they apply to different families. If your notebook or file folder is clearly labeled as to where the material is from, it will be less confusing than if you mix geographic areas. And document those sources as you go." This is one of the Tips from 365+1 Genealogy Tips which is being sold by Greater Omaha Genealogical Society to raise money for census film at the local public library. We're getting close to having our 11th state complete through 1930, and we have 30 states complete through 1900...not bad for 8 years of work when we started with less than 1000 reels of microfilm...and now have over half of the 15,000+ reels of released federal film. The book is in a semi-calendar form, with a tip for every day, plus leap year. It's a generic calendar, with no year, or day of the week attached so it can be used and reused. While some of the tips may be well known to people who've done genealogy for years, there's even things that the well experienced may not have yet tried--and it's a real help to the beginner. There's room to make notes on which ancestors you might want to apply some of the tips on, in an effort to learn more about them. While it is being sold at Winter Quarters Bookstore in Omaha, more of money is generated for the film project by purchasing directly from the Society. Email Mavmom18@aol.com for price & postage costs if you think you might be interested. These will also be available at the Nebraska State Genealogical Society Conference in Omaha April 30 & May 1. Working together so we all find more ancestors. Karen
