I just took 212 new films down to the W. Dale Clark library this evening. It will take several days for them to be catalogued and out to use, but by this time next week they should be available. California is now complete through 1900, as is Mississippi. Vermont is nearly complete through 1900 (couple of back orders). TX is missing a couple in 1880 backordered, but will be complete through that year, with about half to 2/3 of the reels actually here. Completing reels for MO 1910 & 1920 came in and the rest of 1930 is on order. Idaho 1930, IN 1920, and a reel missing from 1910 MT are now completed. Several reels from 1900 IL and WI were received as well, though those two states aren't up to half yet. If you're interested, you can contact me with specific questions as to what is here, as it will take a bit for the web site to be updated as well. Also, 35 reels of Rev War Pension & Bounty Land applications are here. If you're looking for a Miller, everything in the two main microfilm collections for this period is here. Several reels are for "A", "B", "G" and other surnames are here as well. Again, if you're wondering if we would have what you might be looking for, contact me. We've also had several boxes of really good books donated recently and those will soon be available...some marriage records from Hall county NE on microfilm will be coming in a couple months, and some more materials from Lancaster co, PA will be coming before summer. There may not be any budget to speak of (but they can find 3/4 of a million to pay a football coach to go away???), but those of us who use the facility are donating some good things--and we'll all find more ancestors.
