The full listing for SS Philip & James Cemetery, St. James, NE, has been added to the Cedar County page of the Tombstone Transcription Project. If you find your ancestors in the transcription, be sure to take a look for the photos which will most likely be up within a week's time. The SS Philip & James Catholic Church was closed last year, the building stripped, and the remainder burned down on May 20, 2001. However, this cemetery is an active one and very well kept. A beautiful new gate was placed there last year with the statues from the church of St. Philip & St. James enclosed in the gate pillars. Enjoy! Kristi B.
