Sometime after the holidays, G.O.G.S. is going to start a writers group for people interested in writing their personal or ancestral histories. Proficiency in writing is not required, just an interest in recording your history and a willingness to share a bit of what you write at each session. Purpose is to inspire each other to keep writing, and perhaps spark some other memories that we need to record in our own life stories...or the life stories of family members. This will be held on another night than the regular meeting night and won't be strictly limited to G.O.G.S. members, although membership is encouraged because members get the newsletter which give all the latest news updates, discounts on workshops that the society holds, etc. (incIuding a 10% discount on the soon to be released 365+1 Genealogy Tips.
