Mr. Warnock was born February 18, 1876 at Merrill, Neb. He operated a farm near Walthill for 30 years, retiring 8 years ago to move into town. He was married November 18, 1896, at Vermillion , S. D. Bentz, 92 of Emerson, died Thursday, Sept, 9 1993, at the Heritage Care Center in Emerson after a brief illness. Services will be 1 p. m. Monday at the Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, South Sioux City, with the Rev. Jamie Norwich McLennan of the Dakota City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery, Pender, Neb. Visitation will be noon to 9 p. M. today with family present 7-9 p. M., at the funeral home. Mrs. Bentz was born Jan. #0, 1901 at Newcastle, Neb., daughter of Phillip J. And Georgia Mae (Blake) Warnock. She graduated from high school and earned her teaching certificate from Wayne State College. She taught in country schools. She married Clarence A Bentz Oct. 2, 1920, at Westport Neb., He died April 2, 1971, at Pender, Neb. For many years she was the owner/operator of Bentz' Cafe in Winnebago. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Walthill. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Alvin and Glora Mae of Henderson, Nevada and Roger and Shirley of Homer, Neb.; a daughter Barbara Valls of Omaha; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers and a sister.
